Marilyn Sylvan Thompson is a warm, compassionate, insightful psychotherapist, counselor,

consultant, coach, teacher and presenter. In a loving way, she can help you get from where you are to where you want to be in your personal life, relationships and work. Marilyn brings to her own life and work a passion for living life to the fullest, enjoying the moment, and seeing the positive while embracing and owning the shadow side as well. She was formally trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, relationship therapy, bioenergetic therapy, esoteric healing, family mediation and organization transformation.

Marilyn specializes in Imago Relationship Therapy for Couples and

Individuals, Bioenergetic Therapy for body, mind and spirit, and

Organization Transformation Facilitation. She is known for her ability to quickly assess a situation and provide interventions for growth and healing within a safe and secure environment. Her loving manner and humor balanced with her strength, openness and honesty make her an outstanding presenter, as well as a gifted therapist, consultant and group facilitator.

Marilyn's experience includes serving as a counselor for medical

students and their families in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at

Michigan State University where she co-designed and implemented a Doctor Patient Relationship course. She enjoys working with medical practices to create an environment in which each team member is appreciated for their unique contributions.

Marilyn offers classes each semester on various aspects of relationships through Michigan State University Lifelong Education. She conducts workshops and consults with businesses, educational institutions and non-profit organizations to increase communication skills, enhance relationships, promote healthy self-esteem, resolve conflicts, reduce stress, increase integrity, promote far-reaching vision and generate creativity. For Marilyn to be satisfied with her work, or life, she wants to have fun. She laughs a lot, cherishes life and is passionate about her three young grandsons.
